Only was able to use the depth finder for a few months at the end of season last year and was very happy with it. Worth the money.
Good general purpose depth finder, we don't fish much but we do travel narrow back water channels as well as uncharted water, its easy to read even in the bright Florida sun. easy install but it does require a bigger hole through transom than other brands, its very accurate in shallows and when cruising on plane. I would buy this again.
Great Product for the price. Many features that are great for this model ( easy to operate & good graphics).Shipped on time & recieved it before the expected date.Straight out of the box to the boat on the water in a few minutes.Only complaint is that Garmin has a big plug that has to have a 1" hole to get it through for such a small cable. Can't cut it & splice back together (factory says that it will void warranty & could mess up the graphics)
Works great & easy to read. Bang for the Buck. this is it. Price was lower at Amazon than going to BPS located here. Unit was installed on a 13' Whaler.
Now, I'm goin' fishin'. It paid off in spades.
It has performed up to my high expectations. The set up was relatively quick and simple with some DIY experience.
I purchased the Garmin Fishfinder 140 about a month ago and have used it on 3 different fishing trips. I was looking at a few different Humminbird fishfinders, but since this one was consistently rated higher, and many people reviewed it so well, even though it was cheaper priced than Humminbird, I took a calculated risk.
The menu and programming options are very simple and breezed through them without even consulting the owner's manual. Overall, I'm impressed with the unit and the options it comes with.
Garmin has made a good name for themselves (I have 2 other Garmin products that I've had for several years and have never had a problem with them) and this product is and should be no exception. lol
